Welcome to Mrs. Alfonso's 5th Grade Class!
The upper grades are years of new learning experiences that aim in successfully transitioning the students to middle school. For fifth grade, it is also a year filled with exciting activities to honor their last year of elementary. This is a critical year and part of the students' foundation for a lifetime of learning. The students will be engaged in many learning activities that require organizational, analytical, social, writing, and research skills.
I encourage families to instill in the students a sense of responsibility, accountability, and strong work ethic, as it may guarantee their success in upper grades and will help prepare them for a lifetime of success.
